France and skiing go hand in hand. Including resorts such as Val D'Isere & Tigne, The Three Valleys and Chamonix, France is probably one of the most frequently traveled ski destination in Europe. Here you can ski the French Alps for a week, and then enjoy a few days rest in Paris, or Lyon before going home. Unlike Austria, you will find most of the resorts are ski in/out locations directly on the mountain.
Brides Les Bains
A traditional village beneath the Trois Vallées ski area, linked by a three stage telecabine to Meribél since the 1992 Savoie Olympics (when it was the Olympic village) . There are also a good range of shops, restaurants and a casino.
Chamonix
Chamonix...Probably the most recognized resort in France.
Courchevel
